By reading this blog you are agree that this blog is awesomely epic!Remember my fake broken rolex? You should be, it’s only few posts back. Despite the second pointer isn’t attached again to the center of the watch. Despite it’s blocking the movement of the minute and hour pointer. Despite I can’t tell you what seconds it is, but I can tell you what hour and minute we are now. What you could ask more from a watch?
In no particular order, my top 5 of John’s Songs:
- Comfortable
- Why Did You Mess With Forever?
- Love Song For No One
- Dreaming With A Broken Heart
- Split Screen Sadness
It gives me a really hard time just to write 5 in here. But this is pretty much the songs that played most in my life. Note that the ‘Battle Studies’ is still new, so it hardly get to the top 5, but the ‘Friends, Lover or Nothing’ has a big chance to make it.
I’ve cut the link with my partner. It’s okay, I’m more like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg rather than Sergey Brin-Larry Page or David Filo-Jerry Yang. I work solo. But don’t get me wrong, I’m a still Google fan boy! :p
I heired it from my father. Well it’s not really heired actually, I kind of stole it and told him few days later. It’s a rolex. Given the look, I’d say it’s a fake one. That’s why I took this one, so my dad wouldn’t be looking for it before I told him. After I told him, He offered me another one, but I said I’ll keep this one instead. And he told me it’s a real one, it is just old. I don’t really mind that. Real or fake is not a problem for me. As long as it serves its purpose, I’m totally okay. As you know; it’s not what you wear, it’s how you wear it…! But it no longer works. My handwatch is broken. But wait, come to think of it, it’s not really a problem actually. I spent school and college without it. Okay then, it is settled, while in the office, I’ll keep wearing this broken fake rolex.
I live by the sword. My sword will crush 70 men in a single battle. Each will die in a single stroke. My name will stand the test of the time as the unrivaled under the heaven. Miyamoto Musashi (Shimmen Takezo-red) had the chance, now it’s my turn. Here goes my sword..

Swing!

Swoosh!

Trinc!

Jleb!
I tried how fast the HG server is. And it’s superbly swift. My laptop is Intel Dual Core @ 2GHz with 1 GB ram. But the server with 76 domains in it (I’m tracking it using reserve IP) is 10 times faster than my laptop! Deity! While my web hosting server provider in Indonesia it’s 13 times slower than my laptop! Maybe the main reason is because they are bulking 1,941 domains in it! Lame!
Yesterday I bought the domain and web hosting for fortune. I bought the domain in IDWebhost and the hosting in HostGator. IDwebhost has been a great company for me in last few years so I bought the domain from them. But their web hosting plans no longer meet my requirement. So I decided to use HostGator. My domain and hosting is active less than 10 minutes. Great. Not much that I can comment on the domain, because well it’s only a domain. But for the hosting, it’s been great so far. The control panel is better than I used to use. But still, no ssh. It’s ok, I don’t do ssh anyway. Actually without ssh make the hosting safer, so I don’t mind at all. And it’s kinda shocking knowing that your CPanel doesn’t have any bar limit for the bandwidth and disk space. It’s like wow! Even though I know it’s only a myth but still awesome in the eye, LoL..
I test the website with just-ping.com, a free service where you can ping your website from dozens of places around the world. From Texas, where the data center is, the ping is less than 10ms, it’s pretty much like servers from google :p. The difference is Google’s ping is always less than 10ms anywhere you are because their data centers are literally everywhere. The HostGator’s ping is on the other hand, for any other place in US it’s less than 50 ms, and for countries in Europe, it’s about 50 – 140ms. It’s still good I suppose. I haven’t try how fast the processor is. But the processor load for my host is 1.71 (16 cpus) and the memory load is 6.2 %. That’s a good thing. That means that they don’t put too much costumer in my server. But later on on that. One of the biggest concern is about the limit of 25 processes running in the same time. At first before I bought it, I thought it is only for MySQL process, but it turns out that it is for PHP process. The fortune will easily hit the limit because there are plenty of scripts running in the background. Most of other host only offer 10 running processes at the same time, so I don’t really have choice beside find a way around this. If I don’t find it, I’ll switch to vps.
For buying this I’m using my credit card. It’s quite sad actually that my debit card somehow isn’t working. But I trust HostGator on this or else I’m gonna flaming in the webhostingtalk forum if anything goes wrong. LoL. Don’t expect this blog will be moved. Because why moving? WordPress has been very nice to me. I’m actually planning on buying the host and domain from wordpress itself.
From this post, there’s an impression that the fortune is done. But the truth is it isn’t. I’m still working on it. Actually when I said the fortune’s deadline is November, I know it’s a suicidal mission. Because I know, even finishing this in December will be impossible. LoL. And yeah, I’m not gonna be able to finish it in December :p. One of the problem is the lack of sleeping. When I put my head in the pillow, it doesn’t mean that I’m gonna sleep right away. It means that I’m gonna sleep at least 3 hours later. I’m too sleepy and my brain to heavy to do anything. Yet I can’t sleep! It’s agonizing…! I just bought a dozen of sleeping pills, hope it works!
So why I bought the domain and the hosting if I haven’t finished the fortune yet? Well I hope it gives more push to me to finish it faster. Banzaaii….!!
This word has been one of the highlight for me since I started to look for a web host in the last days. In the world where everything is limited, how unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage, unlimited domain, unlimited ect sound possible? But the high competitive hosting industry has put the companies in the thin ice, so they are overselling the product with a lot of terms and conditions, and use shitty server component. However, after I dived really deep into webhostingtalk forum and webhostingjury user reviews, I found that HostGator is a very well respective company. They are different. I’ve talked few times with the chat support, they are quite friendly and has a pretty good technical knowledge too. I think I’m gonna give HG a chance. Oh yeah, I’m still crunching the numbers and algorithms in the fortune. Lord please help me.
This is my first failure that is listed in the blog (read previous post entitled “I’m the new Jerome”); I can’t finish fortune in a timely fashion. Well, actually I was kinda busy with another freelance project but still. This is gonna be the last failure. All the goals are postponed a month with the same objectives.
Will I finish the fortune? Will I finish it on time? Will the server able to handle the requests? Will I have enough money to buy the server? Will I have enough money to do the marketing? Will the marketing path that I choose work? Will I constantly spend money for marketing? Will people like the product? Will I get one million user? Will I get it in one year? Will it gives profit? Will it gives profit that can be categorized as job? Will I able to found a company based on this? Will I able to expand the company? Will I create a work field for other people? Will I able to found a social organization in helping the orphanage kids? Will I make my mother and father proud and happy of me?
